5 arrested in connection with murder of Seeta High School teacher
MUKONO: Police in Mukono have arrested five suspects in connection with the murder of Oloya Ivan, a 30-year-old teacher at Seeta High School, Mbalala Campus Patrick Onyango the Police spokesman for Kampala Metropolitan has confirmed.
The incident occurred on March 22, 2025, in Bajjo Cell, Nyenje Ward, Goma Division.
The suspects arrested include: Kasumba Paul a 21 year old casual worker, Mabale Simon a 23 year old casual worker Kibuuka Tom a 38year old mechanic, Lukodda Simon,18, and Kandoole Charles Dani, 16, both casual workers.
According to reports, Oloya Ivan left his workplace at Seeta High School, Mbalala Campus, and was heading home to Bajjo when he was attacked and killed near the gate of Code High School, where his wife, Abbey Mercy, works as a teacher.
Onyango informed that the body of the deceased has been taken to Mulago mortuary as investigations continue.
“The police introduced canine to the scene, leading to the arrest of the suspects. The body was taken to Mulago for a postmortem examination, and investigations are ongoing”. Confirmed SSP Onyango Patrick.
