Politicians up in arms with RDC Nasuga

By; Ambrose Wanagoli
A section of politicians in Butaleja district, have raised up their eyebrows against Mr. Godfrey Nasuga Musulemi, the Assistant RDC for Butaleja district, on account of abuse of office.
The angry citizens, led by Wycliffe Mutono, the district councillor for Busabi sub county, today morning, stormed the office of the District Internal Security Officer(DISO), with complaints about some disorder, the Assistant RDC, has allegedly caused in Butaleja district, since when he was transferred into Butaleja district for work.
Wycliffe Mutono, told the DISO, that Mr. Nasuga, has failed to limit himself politically, by serving the Butaleja natives indiscriminately, alleging that the Assistant RDC Nasuga, and his ally, former MP James Waluswaka, are too arrogant and proud.
Mr. Mutono, disclosed that he conditionally took his query to the office of Presidency, on Wednesday, about Nasuga Musulemi Assistant RDC and Eng. James Waluswaka, former MP for Bunyole West.
According to Mutono, Waluswaka, and Nasuga, commonly threaten the natives with arrest, for any slight mistakes, especially political. He thus called for good respect for one another, regardless of faith, age, body morphology, financial stand and tribe.
Mohammed Gusaga(Yellow man), a senior political strategist in Butaleja district, accused Mr. Nasuga (Assistant RDC), Mr. Richard Waya(former LCV for Butaleja), and Mr. James Waluswaka ( former MP for Bunyole West), of having bailed out several cattle thieves upon being arrested.
He also alleged that Nasuga, segregated several people who applied for parish development model, including Gusaga’s wife and a disabled woman he declined to specify in Budumba sub county, by openly taking part in the selection for the beneficiaries.
Gusaga, hence suggested that Nasuga, be transferred to East Bunyole for the services, and threatened to mobilize a number of the aggrieved citizens, to lead them to the office of President to loge a complain.
Another, Girisom Olong, one of the chief campaigning managers, in Butaleja district, accused the 3: James Waluswaka(former MP for Bunyole West), Richard Waya(former LCV), and Godfrey Nasuga Musulemi(Assistant RDC), of having connived to kill the suit of the natives of Busaba town council, against their Sacco leader Hakim Hiisa, who allegedly swindled 21 Millions from Nadome Hweholelere Saving group.
According to Olong, Hakim Hiisa, the leader of Nadome Hweholelere Saving group, was arrested last week, when the suspect sold off part of his land for pardon. The trio(3 officers), allegedly shared Hiisa’s cash and influenced the police to set the Sacco leader free.
Geoffrey Eric Mutiwa, the MP for Bunyole West, pinned Nasuga, saying that the Assistant RDC still serves as the personal assistant of his predecessor James Waluswaka.
He also revealed that Mr. Nasuga, recently remarked in a meeting at Mulagi, that former MP James Waluswaka, was the brain behind Pdm transaction in Butaleja district.
The district leaders allegedly squeezed Nasuga Musulemi, for the withdrawal of his statement when he pleaded guilty.
The MP, further argued that it’s dangerous for the icons of Butaleja to keep bailing out thieves, because it will escalate insecurity in the community.
Andrew Kizza, the Deputy DISO for Butaleja district, thanked the political leaders for opting to complain diplomatically, and promised to engage the office of RDC for a quick action upon the matter.
However, Godfrey Nasuga Musulemi, Assistant RDC for Butaleja district, in response exonerated Hon. James Waluswaka, former MP for Bunyole West, from the allegations. He argued that Mr. Waluswaka, is out of Butaleja district, not knowledgeable about the allegations stated by the aggrieved citizens.
Nasuga, denied having indulged in corruption, and stressed that Hakim Hiisa’s case was handled by Jimmy Nambiro, former Assistant RDC for Butaleja district. He said he is careful with his conduct, but he emphasized that anyone is entitled to police bond constitutionally.
Meanwhile, Richard Waya, former LCV for Butaleja district, refuted having an alliance with James Waluswaka and Nasuga. He also said that he is against theft and other forms of crimes. He nonetheless, said that he knows little about Wycliffe Mutono, but identified Gusaga Mohammed as bag holder for Ambassador Dorothy Hyuha
