President Museveni commences Greater Mubende PDM tour

President Museveni started his tour started in Kyankwanzi District, visiting Patrick Matovu, a PDM beneficiary who has established a local chicken poultry farm.
He was glad he has made good use of the funds and improved his household income, as well as mobilized his fellow beneficiaries.
Museveni says if all beneficiaries would pay back the funds in time, the program would be a great success.
“If all PDM beneficiaries adhere to the fund’s management guidelines and start to repay their loans by the second year, the fund will have a significant resource envelope of about 800 million shillings per parish.”
President Museveni also asked the masses to be vigilant and report corrupt individuals who have made it a habit of chewing PDM money.
“On the issue of corruption, I implore the wananchi to be vigilant and always report these thieves. We shall deal with those officials involved; their time is running out.”
In Busunju, he toured development projects(Coffee, piggery, Dairy) done by Rev Fr. Emmanuel Kiyemba the Parish priest of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He commend the Catholic church in Busunju – Mityana District, Fr. Emmanuel Kiyemba, Hon. Godfrey Kiwanda and other Ugandans who have taken the wealth creation message and are providing good leadership by way of example.
He concluded his farm tours in Mityana by visiting Christine Wineza, another beneficiary of the PDM funds who has embraced poultry farming. Christine has transformed her household from subsistence farming to a sustainable, income-generating business. “We will support her.” Museveni said.
