Grief and fear have befallen the citizens of Busoko, border of Busaba sub county and Busolwe sub county, after a man in late 40s was mercilessly lynched on account of stealing several heads of cattle in the area, Saturday afternoon.
Siraji Kanguli, is believed to have stolen 12 heads of cattle from the herd of one Ezera Gamusi, a resident in Mugulu, in the wee hours of Saturday.
Eye witnesses who preferred anonymity say that the cattle were heard mooing at about 1:00AM, and shortly heard the sound of a vehicle, seeming to be the means of transport for Gamusi’s cattle to yet unknown destination.
Interestingly, Siraji Kanguli, a popular suspect in the area allegedly spearheaded the suggestion of bringing forth the sniffer dog for the search.
However, the incorruptible dog led the police and the rest of the angry citizens into Kanguli’s house, when the suspect ran for safety. The citizens set up fire on Kanguli’s house, which prompted him to reveal his whereabouts. This angered the murderers to divide themselves into two groups as they targeted to hand pick him and burn him in his house. Nevertheless, his ability to ran made him reach far as his life was ended un controllably.
The police had earlier arrested another suspect, identified as: Ali Mugole, popularly known as Dr. Love.
Mohammed Kaka Muhombalino, the dad to the slain(Siraji Kanguli), declined to comment on his son.
Siraji, has been one of the senior suspects in the area. A few years ago, some heads of cattle similarly disappeared, the sniffer dog was brought up for a search, and ended up in Siraji Kanguli’s house but the deceased person denied the matter.
