SUCCESS STORIES FROM PDM: Transforming Lives in Jinja City!

On the directive of Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo, SPA/PA to the Office of the National Chairman (ONC), a team of coordinators from Busoga Sub-Region led by Regional Coordinator Ms Kyanika Rehema, Muzzukulu Coordinator Mr. Kisoma Samuel, and Jinja City Coordinator Mr. Kabuye Rogers Thursday paid a visit to proud Parish Development Model (PDM) beneficiaries in Mafubira Zone C, Jinja City.
On their visit to Mr. Bogere Joshua, who received UGX 1 million in June 2023. The team discovered that with prior experience in poultry farming, Mr. Bogere scaled up his project from 300 to 1,160 layer hens.
Success to his efforts is that Bogere now collects at least 20 trays of eggs daily, employing two youth, and earning UGX 200,000 profit daily.
In his words Bogere says; “This initiative saved my family. I’m feeding my children, paying school fees, and creating jobs!”
He however suggested that the beneficiary funds be doubled to UGX 2M for even greater impact.
The team later visited Mr. Kakaire Moses, another shining example of PDM success. Investing his support funds into a fresh produce business; matooke, tomatoes, onions, and more, Mr. Kakaire reports steady progress:
“I ventured into a business I know. No regrets! I even urge H.E. @KagutaMuseveni to stay on the main ballot in 2026. We will support him!”
The two success stories from Jinja City Beneficiaries are a testament to the true spirit of the PDM, empowering Ugandans from the grassroots with dignified, sustainable income-generating ventures.
