Namisindwa NRM Chairperson Nominated for Second Term

Aramazani Wabuko, the Namisindwa District National Resistance Movement (NRM) party chairperson, yesterday Wednesday was duly nominated to run for a second term in office. After the nomination exercise at the district party headquarters, Wabuko pledged to address the issue of independent candidates who lean towards the NRM party.
Wabuko noted that the 2021 elections, which were held in different locations, were not free and fair, resulting in John Musila, the incumbent Bubulo East constituency legislator, losing his seat as an NRM candidate and bouncing back as an independent.
He emphasized that this was a significant setback for the party and vowed to work towards preventing similar situations in the future.
Wabukl also promised to work hard to mobilize votes for President Museveni and all NRM candidates, aiming to increase the party’s score to 99% in the 2026 general elections, up from 75% in 2021.
John Musila, the Member of Parliament for Bubulo East constituency, urged the people of Namisindwa to vote massively for President Museveni and other NRM candidates, citing the party’s achievements in improving the livelihood of the population through programs like PDM and Emyooga.
Wabuko will face competition from Geoffrey Wasolo, the former LC3 chairperson of Bubutu sub-county, in the election scheduled for Friday this week, according to the NRM roadmap.
