Agule MP injects 25 million to 108 best PLE performers

Pallisa; Agule county member of parliament Hon David Ochwa on Friday rewarded the top six candidates from each of the 18 primary schools in Agule county, Pallisa .
In the function held at Agule Church of Uganda archdeaconry headquarters parents lauded MP Ochwa for embracing selecting the top six rather than considering only those who got division one.
Clement Orem said Hon. Ochwa keeps and fulfills what he says because he promised to candidates tests,sets and feeding during PLE and he has done.
,” The issuance of these mattresses, metallic boxes and blankets to me is just a surprise when I was called that Hon. Ochwa wants to meet us with our children and coming here I was shocked with gifts “, Orem said.
Jane Akido Nwanika thanked Ochwa for revamping the project he started in
2011 and got suspended for eight years when he was out of parliament.
” We wasted the eight years because of intrigue by some people who hate Ochwa for no good courses. I request Agule to maintain Ochwa, imagine he has spent UGX 200,000 on each beneficiary “,Akido said.
Ben Okoboi a candidate from Good Shepherd primary who Ked the county after scoring 8 aggregates thanked MP Ochwa for accepting to pay part of his fees at Teso college Aloet.
Rev. Patrick Etukuri the priest of Kibale parish who presided over the mass appreciated Ochwa for establishing Agule institute of health sciences and management that is serving the community in a number of ways asked the Pallisa resident district commissioner Magid Dhikusooka to accept the parents to pay some money for school development.
Rev. Etukuri said there is a lot of interference from RDCs offices disrespecting the resolutions parents make of paying UGX 1,000 or UGX 2000 yet teachers lack accommodation in schools and this affects performance.
In response the Dhikusooka the RDC who was chief guest said there is no negotiation in issues of no payment because it is a presidential directive and school managers should find a way of implementing there resolutions outside school.
” You agreed with parents then why do you chase pupils out of class. I want to put it clearly that no payment in government schools because the program is to benefit the poor if you have money go to private schools and pay”, Dhikusooka said.
MP Ochwa asked parents to consider the education of their children as a priority because it is the only offer which is durable.
” I started this program in 2011and the students I begin with got state House bursaries and one girl is now aircrafts engineer. For this particular lot I took upon myself to give them tests, mathematical sets, fed them during PLE and today and giving the selected six per school mattresses, blankets and metallic cases.”, Ochwa said.
Mr. Omutuju Ronald the Pallisa district education officer appreciated the commitment Hon Ochwa put in education sector.
” MP. Ochwa supported my sector during the time we conducted continuos professional development workshop held at Agule institute of health sciences and management and has fulfilled his pledge to the best per school private schools inclusive”,Mr. Omutuju said.
