Butaleja NRM elect new leadership

The Butaleja district supporters of NRM party, in the mainstream organ have today (August 23), held elections for their new leaders, giving a strong room for Moses Pabire, a youthful politician to emerge as the new party leader for the ruling NRM party.
The elections were presided over by Kuzaima Hasahya, the district NRM registrar.
Pabire, who is a retired NRM youth leader, beat his rival Mohammed Gusaga with a big margin, witnessed as the two had choices by ques.
Pabire, polled 341 votes as Gusaga scored only 26 votes.
Pabire, the victor in the polls said thanked his supporters for their exhibit, and vowed to cause unity in his leadership. He also encouraged the elders to give him due advice in a bid to uplift the NRM party.
Mudehere Moses, district councillor for Busolwe sub county, was elected as the district Vice Chair person for NRM mainstream league, Rose Namuyanda Nasuga, district councillor for the workers was voted for as General Secretary, Yunus Hamila, the district Speaker as the Treasurer, and Beatrice Namunyole Weere, a Veteran Radio Presenter, as the chair person for Women’s League.
Mudehere, now vice Chair person, vowed to restore unity in NRM party. Rose Namuyanda, thanked her husband for disowning jealousy as he helped her convince the people of Butaleja district for the position, and vowed to effect transparency in her leadership.
But Sovereign Hasahya, an elect for the chair personship of the entrepreneurs’ league encouraged the unsuccessful candidates to join direct politics ahead, and advised her fellow leaders to befriend their opponents for development.
