Butebo primary pupil commits suicide

A tragic incident occurred today Friday, in Odoket Kilok Village, Koklene Parish, Kanyum Sub County, Butebo District, where a 21-year-old pupil, John Olupot Robert, took his own life by hanging.
According to Wilfred Kyapasa the Bukedi North region police spokesperson,the deceased had been arrested by a night watchman , for trespassing at Narow Gate Nursery and Primary School.
He says the suspect was handed over to his father, Julius Omidil , who planned to accompany him to the school to resolve the issue the next day. However, before they could go, the deceased took his own life.
Kyapasa says police responded promptly, and the scene was visited by the D/CID Officer, District SOCO, and a team of police officers.
The scene was documented, photographed, and relevant statements were recorded. The rope used for hanging was recovered, and the body was taken for post-mortem examination.
