Daniel Hasahya, the clan Leader of Buhilalire, has broken a record upon wedding his wife: Ednasi Muhwana, along with his son Moses Nahyoto, the Personnel officer for Butaleja district, who did it with Samali Bulage.
The couples on Saturday afternoon made their vows in Full Gospel Pentecostal church Butaleja, setting up mummers among some community members who attended the function.
Samuel Mwesigwa, the Pastor who wedded the two couples, stated that it was his first day for him to wed the couples of that nature, which involved Father, Mother, son and daughter in-law.
The pastor asked Mr. Hasahya, and Ednasi, to be the immediate counsellors to Moses Nahyoto and his young wife Samali Bulage. Mwesigwa, further called upon the couples not to separate in their marriages despite encountering some challenges.
Ednasi Muhwana, narrated how she fell in love with her husband Hasahya, years ago. She challenged the christians to be patient in love, endure amidst poverty, and preached the need for forgiveness for one another amidst disagreements.
The elderly mother, also caused laughter when she challenged her son Moses to struggle for twins. He nonetheless, stressed that she will not pock her nose in son’s marriage, now that they are legal in relationship.
Moses Nahyoto (district personnel officer), told East fm that he opted to wed alongside his dad, in order to save some costs, adding that he targeted to attract his dad’s Old friends too for help. He also said that he took much time in search for a right partner, now boasted that God identified for him Samali, barely a Month. He promised her, “Love” and vowed to stick to her until death.
Joseph Muyonjo, former LCV for Butaleja, wished the couples well in their marriages, and echoed God’s call for reproduction, to fill the world. He also called upon the couples to observe submissiveness and called for forgiveness in case of dis agreements.
Yossia Habagaya Mwesi, another public figure in Butaleja district, advised the newly wedded couples to always consult those with experience in marriage for pieces of advice in case of challenges.
Yossia Habagaya, also urged the wedded couples to join hands to fight poverty in their homes, and stick to the vows they made in church.
Richard Waya, former LCV, suggested that Nahyoto and Hasahya open for their wives “poultry”, to boost their livelihood.
Meanwhile, Aida Mugoya Nehole, amazed especially the religious when she requested the Master of ceremony “Julius Mutenga”, to save time for the couples’ Honey moon. Ms. Mugoya stated that reproduction is the result of holy marriages and wondered why the speeches prolonged, yet the couple of Nahyoto and Samali have no child apparently.
