FINALLY! Rev. Jackson Magombe Joins the Race to Replace His Boss Nandala in Budadiri West
Reverend Jackson Magombe, the Chairperson of the Clergy in the North Mbale Diocese and Director of Operations in the Office of the MP for Budadiri West, has officially declared his intention to contest for the Budadiri West parliamentary seat. He made the announcement on Sunday evening during a meeting with selected FDC delegates in Mbale.
His declaration follows the recent announcement by Budadiri West MP, Hon. Nathan Nandala Mafabi, who picked nomination forms for the FDC Presidential Flagbearer and revealed that he would not be seeking re-election to Parliament after 25 years of service.
Rev. Magombe stated that he is the right candidate to carry forward Nandala’s legacy. He emphasized that he has worked closely with and for Hon. Nandala, who has mentored and shaped him into a capable leader.
He pledged that if elected, he would diligently represent the people of Budadiri West and ensure the continuity of programs and development projects initiated by Hon. Nandala in the constituency.
Magombe, who also serves as a member of the Provincial Assembly Standing Committee representing the Eastern Region, added that he has gained sufficient experience and exposure to effectively represent the constituency.
He is expected to face the FDC constituency chairman, Mr. Kabala, in the party primaries before taking on the NRM candidate in the general election.
