I have a lot of Problems, admits Manchester United coach Ruben Amorim
The Manchester United season just went from bad to worse when they lost to fellow strugglers Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday in a one nil defeat in London.
Manchester United created some reasonable number of Chances but couldn’t convert them especially with Alejandro Garnacho Ferreyra and Rasmus Højlund being wasteful.
On the other side, James Maddison scored the only goal that have a struggling Ange Postecoglou’s side victory at home.
With the departure of Marcus Rashford to Aston Villa on loan upto the end of the season, Amorim had been left with a limited number of attackers to including the inform Amad Diallo who also sustained an injury and will be out for the rest of the season.
With several factors facing the successor of Eric Ten Hag who recently admitted that Manchester United would be set for a relegation battle, the fans are yet to see the best of the former Sporting man who beat Pep at the Etihad in his first games in charge.
He admitted that he has gotten a lot of problems as per now. “I have a lot of problems, my job is so, so hard here. But I stick with my beliefs”.Rúben Amorim told the press.
However his counterpart Ange Postecoglou admitted that injuries are some of the causes of poor performance at Manchester United : “Man United with many injured players? If I check my office, I don’t have any sympathy cards from other coaches”.
“I could see Rúben there, players out of position, kids on the bench… welcome to my world. But that’s for 1 game. Now do that for 2 months”.
Amorim also linked the result to poor finishing. “The difference of the game, they scored and we didn’t. We had the opportunities”.
“I am not worried [on his future]. I hate to lose, that feeling is the worst. But I am confident on my work and I just want to win games”.
Manchester United sit 15th on the Premier League table with 29 points out of 25 games while Spurs climbed to 12th with 30 points out of 25 games.
Man United have lost 12 of 25 league games this season, their worst record since 1973/74 when they were last relegated from the top flight.
