Interpol arrest Namisindwa man who slitted the throat of his wife

Rogers Kurima, a 34-year-old man from Namisindwa District, was arrested by International Police (Interpol) on Monday for allegedly murdering his wife, Sharon Nelima, 32.
The incident occurred on March 12th, 2025, at Bukitongo B village, where Kurima slit his wife’s throat with a hoe over allegations of adultery.
According to Denis Walukawu, the couple’s son, Kurima had been living in Kenya and returned home on the evening of March 12. He began arguing with his wife, accusing her of bringing other men into their home while he was away.
He says after the incident, Kurima fled to Kenya, where he was later arrested by Interpol police.
Julie Namara, the Resident District Commissioner of Namisindwa, confirmed that Kurima was arrested in Kenya and brought back to Uganda.
She says he has been remanded at Bubulo government prison.
Namara narrated that in Kenya, Kurimu has been staying killed one person before coming to Uganda adding that after arresting him he has two murder cases to answer, after serving a punishment of Uganda,he will be handed back to Kenya to also answer murder charges he committed in Kenya.
