Joint security forces conducted two successful operations in Kotido and Nabilatuk districts, recovering stolen cattle.
In Kotido, on February 28, 2025, security forces tracked and recovered seven (07) cows stolen by suspected Jie warriors from Mr. Aduku Angela’s grazing area in Kalonglomuge. The operation resulted in one warrior being put out of action and another being lynched by a mob. The forces successfully intercepted the stolen livestock from Lokomebu.
In Nabilatuk, an investigation is underway following the discovery of two unidentified bodies in grazing grounds in Morungabel and Welthunger village on February 28, 2025. The incident allegedly involved Pokot individuals with kraals in Morungabel, who abducted three Karamojong, with one escaping and two found deceased.
Police called for vigilance in reporting suspected cases of cattle theft.
