Kampala University first year student Dies While Playing Football

Kampala University is mourning the sudden and heartbreaking loss of Mr. Chriswill Akampa first-year student pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication at the Ggaba Main Campus.
Akampa tragically passed away on Monday while playing football, a sport he deeply loved and actively participated in as a dedicated member of the university team. Known for his energy both in the classroom and on the field, his passing has left a profound impact on classmates, teammates, lecturers, and friends who admired his passion, determination, and warm spirit.
The university has extended its sincere condolences to Akampa’s family, fellow students, and the entire Kampala University community. His death is not only a personal tragedy but also a significant loss to the institution.
According to ACP Rusoke Kituuma, the Police Spokesperson the deceased was laid to rest in Sheema on Tuesday.
During this time of grief, the university stands in solidarity with his loved ones and pays tribute to a student who lived with enthusiasm, purpose, and heart. His memory will live on through the impact he made in the lives of those around him
