Kawempe North: M7 campaigns for Nambi, reveals Towns to get more PDM money than villages

Kampala: President Museveni spent Thursday Afternoon campaigning for NRM candidate Faridah Nambi.
While addressing masses President Museveni revealed that several matters had been brought to his attention including the high population in cities and that they needed to be considered for additional funding.
In his response he revealed that Government shall add more money to urban areas especially in Kampala.
Museveni emphasized that bona bagagawale is the way to go for all Ugandans and he pointed out Parish Development Model as the best possible way to achieve it.
“We will use PDM money to achieve this (bona bagagawale). We will allocate more money to the towns in Kampala because they have more people living in them compared to the parishes upcountry.”
Museveni also wondered why the members of parliament didn’t raise the matter.
“However, I wonder why the Members of Parliament (MPs) for these areas in Kampala had not pointed out that the parishes in towns are bigger and need more money. ”
He also condemned the continuous charging of fees in Government schools. He noted that whichever the excuse, fees shouldn’t be charged in Government Schools.
“I listened to the concerns of the community, and one pressing issue is the high expenses associated with government schools.
We must ensure that children can attend these schools without any fees. School leaders often give various excuses for continuing to charge parents.”
President Museveni adds that the leaders have failed to Monitor the charging of fees in schools that’s why he urged Kawempe North residents to vote for Faridah Nambi to do the monitoring since he can’t be everywhere.
” Unfortunately, I cannot be everywhere at once. That is why I urge you to elect Faridah Nambi, so she can come and implement these solutions in Kawempe. ”
