Kawempe North: President Museveni to campaign for NRM candidate Nambi

Kampala: President Museveni the Supreme Leader of Uganda and the National Chairman of NRM shall today Campaign for NRM Candidate Faridah Nambi.
With the Electrol commission setting today Tuesday as the deadline for campaigning, All candidates shall have their last public talk to their voters today ahead of Voting on Thursday.
Yesterday NRM party Leaders including Al Hajji Moses Kigongo the Party Vice Chairman, CEC Member Hon. Lydia Wanyoto, Prime Minister Robina Nabbanja among other leaders campaigned for Faridah Nambi who is the party flag bearer for NRM.
Today the Party Chairman shall close the campaigning with a massive rally in Kawempe North as they prepare to fill up the gap left by the people’s favourite Muhammad Ssegirinya.
The biggest threat in this race is NUP’s Erias Nalukoola who has amassed a lot of support with the majority of the opposition parties and members rallying behind him.
Sadat Mukiibi, aka Aganaga is also in this race as the FDC flag bearer and yesterday spent his day roaming around to gather support accompanied by FDC leadership of Secretary General Nandala Mafabi and other party leaders.
Nominated Candidates:
The nominated candidates include Murerwa Hanifa Karadi (independent), Luwemba Lusswa Muhammed (independent), Luyimbazi Elias Nalukoola (National Unity Platform), Mukiibi Sadat (Forum for Democratic Change), Nsereko Moses (independent), Musiitwa Ismail (People’s Progressive Party), Mutazindwa Muhamood (independent), Kasacca Henry Mubiru (Democratic Party), and Faridah Nambi Kigongo (National Resistance Movement).
Security Situation:
The Police Spokesperson Kituuma Rusoke assured the voters and candidates that the elections shall be peaceful and assured of total deployment. Each ward is to be manned by A police officer at the Rank of superintendent of Police to ensure sanity.
