Land disputes worry RDC

Butaleja: Godfrey Nasuga Musulemi, the Assistant RDC for Butaleja district, has expressed worries over the increasing cases of land disputes across Butaleja district.
Addressing the journalists in his office today afternoon, the assistant commissioner said that he’s engaged 3 groups of people in connection with land disputes today, alone, as more calls emerge, calling for the RDC’s office to settle.
Nasuga, identified intrigue, hatred and greed as the leading causes of land disputes in Butaleja district. According to the RDC, some people begrudge themselves along even differences political ideology. He further emphasized that there’s a rise of trick stars who curtilize the disputes, but he vowed to settle such cases objectively.
The Assistant RDC (Nasuga), today afternoon handled a case of Bingo B, where the family of Late Paul Namakho, split over the land, measuring up to 5 acres, which was sold to one Maliseri Soboya Mooso.
East fm learnt that the family of Namakho, through Alex Nashangwe, allegedly sold out their chunk of land to Maliseri Soboya Mooso, in 2007, but some of them opted to deny the transactions, now that they failed to share the money well.
According to Mooso Maliseri Soboya, he bought the controversial land in 2007, at 1.4 Millions, which Mooso, paid in Two installments. He recently opted to lease his land for permanent security, when the sellers disowned any business with Mooso.
Alex Nashangwe, who is believed to have sold the land to Mooso, in the interview, accepted the transactions. He also revealed that he was influenced by his mother Aida Kadondi, who wanted her children to transfer from Bingo to else where for reasons best known to Kadondi.
However, one of Kadondi’s children: Ronald Were, who received the money, allegedly disappeared to unknown destination, which made them to deny the transactions.
Deziderio Mooso, the LC1 chairman for Bingo B, confirmed that Maliseri, genuinely bought the controversial land. He also stated that Aida Kadondi, divorced from the Late Paul Namakho, before he died, hence wondered why Kadondi, was bothering them over the land.
Nevertheless, Deziderio, expressed the happiness for a meeting which Godfrey Nasuga Musulemi, Assistant RDC called in Bingo B, on Saturday, affirming that it will surely result in fruits.
