Leave Politics for the Generals, Umukuka tells Subjects

Regional: The Umukuka III of Bamasaba HRH Jude Mike Mudoma has expressed worry at the rate at which his subjects are joining active politics.
Umukuka says that most Bamasaba who have good paying jobs are abandoning them to contest for positions something he says very wrong.
He says that politics should be a service but not an opportunity for job seekers.
He reveals that when he met President Museveni, He informed him that it’s becoming a common habit for all those who are given jobs to abandon them for political ambitions.
Umukuka noted that it’s increasing becoming difficult to lobby for jobs as those who have then have left them for politics.

He also condemned the manner at which some aspirants are campaigning. He says most of them use inappropriate language to adresss their opponents.
He adds that very soon, We shall have no one to guide the other.
“We have Bamasaba who are crying for jobs but what has killed us is that whoever advances a little joins Politics. ”
“Even those with better paying jobs are abandoning their jobs for poltics. And then he leaves a gap and by the time he goes back to work, he cannot reclaim the job. ”
“That’s why I ask the youths to leave politics for the generals. Because politics is not for job seekers, it’s for people who are well off and are ready to serve.”
