Lydia Wanyoto & partners donate 300 bags of cement + 1.5m shillings to Nakaloke Center Mosque

Hon. Lydia Wanyoto the Chairperson NRM Women’s League and Mbale City Woman MP aspirant has today fulfilled her promise she committed to Nakaloke Center Mosque a few months ago.
Wanyoto pledged 100 bags of cement towards the construction of the mosque and today 16th March, she delivered the cement to the Mosque Construction committee lead by Hajji Ismail Mukankadi, Mosque Imam Salman Faris, and the representative of the District Kadhi Isihaka Nangoye.
In addition, she lobbied her friends from the National Planning Authority who also donated 200 bags of cement which was delivered together with Hon. Wanyoto’s 100 bags making it 300 bags of cement.
They also donated 1 million shillings cash towards the mosque to help in construction and also 500.000 shillings in support of a women seminar that was ongoing at the mosque.
Mosque committee members and wives of imams also received relief items like Maize flour, soap and sugar to help them in ramathan. They also received maize seeds to plant ahead of the new farming season.

Hajji Ismail Mukankadi, The Chairperson of the construction committee thanked Hon. Lydia Wanyoto for fulfilling her pledge but also asked her to follow up with the pledges of the Prime Minister of 500 bags of cement and 20 million shillings plus the president’s 400 million pledge where he fulfilled just half of it.
Mukankadi noted that it’s not the first donation Hon. Wanyoto has made to Nakaloke Center Mosque, he revealed that the Senior Presidential Advisor has been supporting the project from the very first day.
Wanyoto pledged that she will keep supporting the mosque until it’s complete and also asked the people of Mbale City to support her in her quest for the 2026 Mbale City Woman MP seat in order to widen her lobbying power.
The mosque is estimated to consum 3.5 billion shillings and th committee calim they are short of upto a minimum of 1.5bn to complete what would be Ugandas second biggest mosque.
In another regard , Hon. Wanyoto fulfilled her pledge of 3 million shillings on behalf of the women of Mbale City she made to Sheikh Isihaka Nangoye towards acquiring him a vehicle.
Sheikh Isihaka Nangoye commended hon. Lydia Wanyoto for being a person who keeps her promises and asked Mbale Citizens to do the needful come 2026.
