Minister directs the youths to demand for Youth livelihood Fund

Butaleja’s youths have joined the World to celebrate the International Youth day, a program that was meant for April 12.
The celebration was held at Busaba town council on Friday, under the theme: Inter generational Solidarity.
William Gidudu Mafabi, the state Minister for the elderly, officiated the celebration. He said that “youths” are the pillars for the country’s development. He thus asked the elderly to befriend the youths to the extent of counseling them accordingly, and supporting them politically. The Minister, also directed the youths to courageously demand for the Youth Livelihood Funds to enrich themselves.
He advised them to seek help from their top district leadership for easy accessibility to the Funds, and also encouraged them to be part of the Parish development model program.
Gidudu, however, faulted the current Mps of Butaleja, for having done little to lobby for the young people, yet according to him; government releases 300 billions for Youth empowerment, and 100 billions for the elderly, annually.
Sovereign Hasahya, the district Youth councillor, also architect of the celebration, thanked the NRM government for her parental support to the youths. She also advised the Youths to desist from indulging in drug abuse, but rather seek means of empowering themselves economically.
Emmanuel Omaria, the MP aspirant for the Youth in Eastern Uganda, challenged the youths to courageously take part in the elections. He also called for unity in the day to day life, and urged his agemates to respect their elders, with openness to pieces of advice.
Ivan Nangulu Hinapuna, MP aspirant for Bunyole West, challenged the leaders to fight for the installation of atleast a Financial institution(Bank) in Butaleja district. He also challenged his fellow leaders to boost Lectures to the Youths, for entrepreneurship.
Wycliffe Mutono, the district councillor for Busabi sub county, also MP aspirant preached the gospel of togetherness and starting a new chapter for development in the district.
In the same function, Ronnie Muyagu, one the leaders of National Unity Platform party in Butaleja district, officially crossed to the NRM party, and was received by Minister Gidudu Mafabi.
Muyagu, promised to fish more of the Bataleja, attached to NUP, ahead of the general elections and demanded for a warm welcome.
The intending legislator called for unity, reconciliation and implementation of the NRM manifesto.
