Mob in Kibuku Lynched suspected thief

A tragic incident occurred in Tirinyi Town Council, Kibuku District, where a male adult was lynched by a mob on April 22, 2025.
The victim, whose identity remains unknown, was allegedly found in possession of seven goat carcasses packed in sacks, suspected to be stolen.
According to Wilfred Kyapasa the Bukedi North acting regional police spokesperson says the incident happened at around 0500 hours in Tirinyi Central A Zone.
He says the mob action took place along the Tirinyi-Pallisa Road, resulting in the death of the suspect.
The police promptly responded to the incident, and a case of murder by mob action was registered vide Tirinyi CRB 042/2025.
He says a team of officers from Homicide Kibuku, led by D/IP Mpatogera Jenipher, visited the scene, documented the crime scene, and conveyed the body to Kibuku HC IV for postmortem examination.
The police recovered the seven goat carcasses, which have been exhibited as evidence. Investigations are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and identify the deceased.
