MP Sasaga Holds Academic Retreat for S.6 Leavers

Hon. Isaiah Sasaga Wanzira Zagazaga, the Member of Parliament for Budadiri East constituency, recently organized an academic retreat for over 60 senior six leavers from the Bugisu sub-region. As the Managing Director of Sironko Parents Secondary School, Hon. Sasaga emphasized the importance of guiding students in choosing universities and tertiary institutions ¹.
During the retreat, Hon. Sasaga advised students to explore scholarship opportunities, such as those offered by the Bugisu Cooperative Union (BCU), and to apply for loan schemes. He also provided guidance on how to secure government and private sponsorships, as well as how to select courses that align with their interests and strengths.
Khaukha John from Livingston University added that students should choose courses that cater to their needs and aspirations. The students expressed gratitude to Hon. Sasaga for organizing the retreat, hoping that the knowledge gained will aid them in their future academic pursuits.
