MP Sylvia Nayebare and Dr. Kirumira Harris Visit ONC Office, Discuss NRM Revamp and Youth Empowerment in Gomba

Kampala: Gomba District Woman Member of Parliament, Hon. Sylvia Nayebare, alongside Dr. Kirumira Harris, yesterday paid a courtesy visit to the Office of the National Chairman (ONC). The duo held a strategic meeting with Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo, the ONC Manager, focusing on revitalizing National Resistance Movement support in Gomba and ensuring the district’s youth benefit from ONC empowerment programs.
During the meeting, Hon. Nayebare and Dr. Kirumira emphasized the need to strengthen NRM structures in Gomba, ensuring the party remains vibrant and responsive to the needs of the community. They also discussed ways to integrate Gomba’s youth, popularly known as Bazzukulu, into ONC’s ongoing empowerment initiatives, which aim to equip young people with empowerment items for sustainable development.
Hajjat Namyalo commended the visitors for their efforts in maintaining a strong NRM presence in Gomba and thanked them for their dedication to the party’s cause. She also highlighted her office’s commitment to re-engaging and empowering the Bazzukulu across the country, promising to work closely with Gomba’s leadership to ensure the district benefits fully from ONC programs.
In their remarks, Hon. Nayebare and Dr. Kirumira expressed gratitude to Hajjat Namyalo for her relentless efforts in uniting and empowering the youth. They pledged to continue mobilizing support for the NRM in Gomba and to collaborate with the ONC to achieve greater development in the district.
The meeting concluded with both parties reaffirming their commitment to working together to strengthen NRM support and expand youth empowerment initiatives in Gomba.
