Muhoozi gives guidance to PLU supporters who want to contest
The Supreme Leader of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) Gen.Muhoozi Kainerugaba has given his subjects who want to contest a go ahead.
Many PLU supporters have been in confusion with many of them undecided whether to contest on NRM or PLU ticket.
However their supreme leader on Sunday clarified that PLU members are free to contest on any position of their choice.
He advised them to contest on NRM ticket adding that it’s the only political party that has similar values like they do.
He also clarified that PLU isn’t a political party but rather a civil organization.
“On PLU members who want to contest for parliament, nothing is stopping you from doing that. PLU is a civic organisation not a political party. You are absolutely free to contest. For now I advise you to subscribe to NRM. That’s the political party that is most closely aligned to our values”.
Michael Mawanda, one of Muhoozi’s top confidants has already express interest in the position of NRM Vice Chairman Western Region.
