Museveni commissions milk processing plant in Kiruhura
President Museveni today commissioned a milk processing plant in Kiruhura District on his way to Rwampara a facility owned by Benni Foods Limited.
Museveni commended them for their great contribution to value addition and also pledged to ensure constant supply of power.
“They are in the right place at the right time, and have made a good decision. The global demand for milk is significant. We will ensure they receive a consistent electricity supply by providing a dedicated line. ”
He also appealed to farmers to grow more pasture to feed animals.
“On the other hand, Farmers in the area should grow grass to feed their cows, which positively impacts milk production.”
