Namisindwa Fatal Road Crash Claims teacher’s life

A tragic accident occurred on May 3, 2025, at approximately 11:25 am along the Mbale-Lwakhakha highway in Munamba, Namisindwa district.
A motorcycle (UMA 249AW Bajaj Boxer) traveling from Lwakhakha towards Bubutu collided with a pedestrian, resulting into death
According to Rich Addie The Namisindwa district police commander,the deceased has been identified as Richard Wafula , a 51-year-old teacher of Nemba government aided primary school a resident of Butemulani village, Munamba Town Board, Bubutu sub-county, Namisindwa district.
He says preliminary investigations suggest that the motorcycle was traveling at high speed when it knocked down the pedestrian, killing him instantly. The rider fled the scene, leaving the motorcycle behind.
DPC says the body has been delivered to Magale Health Centre for post-mortem examination, and the motorcycle has been impounded at Lwakhakha police station. The police are currently conducting inquiries to identify and apprehend the rider, who is currently on the run
