National resistance movement NRM party members in Namisindwa district have today Wednesday raised their concerns over none resignation of Gerald Musamali.
Musamali is one of the Namisindwa county members of parliament aspirant on NRM ticket.
Petelo Sawa one of the MRM members says their concerns wish to raise a matter of grave concern regarding the integrity of the ongoing party processes ahead of the forthcoming elections.
He says It has come to our attention that Mr. Musamali Gerald, the current NRM Administrative Secretary for Namisindwa District, has declared his intention to contest for the position of NRM Flag Bearer for Member of Parliament, Namisindwa County Constituency, while still holding the office of Administrative Secretary.
We would like to respectfully remind the leadership and all stakeholders that the NRM Party Constitution clearly stipulates that individuals occupying administrative positions, particularly those directly involved in the coordination of party structures and electoral processes, including the office of the Administrative Secretary, must relinquish such positions prior to engaging in competitive elective politics within the party.
Sam Kuloba also the party member says the continued occupation of this office by Mr. Musamali Gerald while simultaneously participating in the race for flag bearer creates a clear conflict of interest and undermines the credibility, transparency, and fairness of the party’s electoral processes in Namisindwa County.
However after contacting Gerald Musamali at watsp message he rather replied that those raising complaints must go in the field and look for votes rather than wasting their time.
Aramazani Wabuko the Namisindwa district NRM Chairperson when contacted on phone he promised to get back to our reporter which he didn’t.
