Namyalo does it again! Empowers hundreds in Teso

Soroti: Residents of Katine Subcounty in Dakabela County, Soroti District on Friday witnessed a mega empowerment outreach from the Office of the National Chairman as Chief Muzzukulu Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo delivered wealth creation items from the President and National Chairman of NRM to help themselves out of poverty with self-employment activities.
Organized in conjuction with the area leaders and aspiring candidates for the different political positions, the empowerment kicked off as early as 9am, and by mid-day, a sea of Bazzukulu
had filled up the Katine Playgrounds in awe and anticipation of the wealth creation message by Hajjat.
Namyalo, also the Senior Presidential Advisor and Political Assistant in charge of ONC arrived at the empowerment venue at exactly 12:30pm and her electric presence ushered the crowd into excitement eagerly waiting for the package she had come with for them.
In her remarks, Hajjat preached against divisionism in the NRM party ahead of the primaries for the 2026 elections. The Chief Muzzukulu categorically made it clear that her party does not endorse or support anyone in particular but singled out Anyimo Harriet who has done so much to ensure the empowerment reaches the people of Katine, Dakabela and Soroti District at large.
“For us as ONC, we are Office of the National Chairman, and our main candidate is the President, Jajja W’abazzukulu Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, and we do not endorse any candidate for whichever position they’re standing for. However, if they come on board to help the Bazzukulu get empowered, we welcome them,” Hajjat remarked.
“Therefore, I want to thank Hon Harriet in particular, and other people who contributed to ensure that this empowerment is a success for Jajja President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s Bazzukulu,” she added.
“Harriet supported this cause with over 75 million to ensure we buy all these many sewing machines, sprayers, gnut machines, and all these wealth creation items you see here.”
Hajjat also commended the Deputy RCC for Soroti, Peter Pex Paak who also contributed immensely to the success of this empowerment.
Katine Subcounty officials reechoed to Hajjat pending presidential pledges including the technical school and secondary school for the Subcounty and urged her to reach out to the President for fulfillment.
The NRM chairperson Katine, Mr echiku Joseph said the President, during his 2011 election campaign promised them a primary, secondary and technical school in Katine SC and a revamp of NRM Party structure for a streamlined leadership in the area.
Echiku also decried to Hajjat the unfair compensation process which he said is not done equitably with some NRM historicals often overlooked by those in charge of the whole exercise.
Among the wealth creation items given out included brick laying and porpcorn machines, hair dryers, chapati making machines, farm sprayers, hand hoes, sewing machines, welding machines, among others.
The Soroti Empowerment Outreach was graced by remarkable guest attendances from remarkable political and government officials in Soroti District including Mr Charles Elasu, the Senior Presidential Advisor and District NRM Chairperson, Mr Edoru Simon Peter Ekuu, the LC5 chairperson, Soroti RDC Paul Eseru, Deputy RCC Peter Pex Paak, Soroti City Assistant RCC Enyalu Julius, Ms Teddy Acham, aka Mama Acham, the chairperson of NRM elder persons in Teso Sub region, various MP and District Chairperson aspirants on the ruling party’s ticket, among others.
The event climaxed with thrilling performance from Gravity Omutujju with songs such as Winner, Money, Okwepiicha, Doozi leaving the Bazzukulu filled with awe and excitement.
