Okello blasts Bishop Oullo for his hopefully candidature for Agule county

Pallisa; The intentions of Bishop Simon Peter Oullo of Good Shepherd ministries to contest for Agule county as a member of parliament in the forthcoming general elections is highly criticized by most of his opponents.
Herbert Okello who is one of the interested hopeful candidate said it was improper for Rev. Oullo with the respect he commander in society to come and meddle up with them in politics.
Mr. Okello said unless the position of being a bishop has been watered down to an extent that people who are supposed to pray for harmony, peace unity join in the game.
” it is not that his candidature scares me but what he has decided to do is not pleasing most of his clergy flock. Iz is not late for him to withdraw and concentrate on his calling to deepen the word of God to the souls of believers”, Okello said .
Mr. Okello made the blast publicly on Wednesday afternoon during the burial of Joyce Mary Apio wife to John Julius Okaki the district councilor for Akisim sub county who succumbed to cancer of the breast at Komolo village in Akisim sub county.
Sam Otai a businessman from Akisim trading center said Rev. Oullo is a gentleman whom he feels should not engage in politics and people including drunkards will mock him because of votes.
” Most candidates go to church for blessings now if a man meant to bless joins the queue it not right and not even late for him to withdraw unless he God a vision from the living God.
While giving consoling remarks to the bereaved family John Micheal Okurut the Butebo resident district commissioner declared his interest to oust MP Oseku Richard from Kibale county.
Mr. Okurut thanked people of Pallisa for giving him mandate to the district chairperson that’s exposed him to become RDC which position will accelerate him to parliament.
” I will not be like Sam Otukol the Pallisa county member of parliament who keeps changing goal posts I will never come to contest in Agule like who is leaving Pallisa. Am in Kibale county and contest from there”, Okurut said.
Agule county being currently represented by Hon. Ochwa David is being eyed by Okello Herbert, Okiring Patrick, Ibaseret Josephine the deputy RDC of Namusindwa, Polycarp Ogwari,who all struggle for NRM ticket.
In his submission as the Chairperson district security committees , Mr. Dhikusooka Magid the Pallisa resident district commissioner said he is going to have numerous meetings with the those who intend to contest in Agule county.
Mr. Dhikusooka said he will start meeting the clergy as all those who intend to contest have a religion they subscribe to and listen to the leaders in that sect.
” I would not accept politics of intimidation and division of people in Agule that why I need to carry out sensitization so that whoever details will feel the heat of the law. Being abusive, mockery and lawlessness is unacceptable. I would love to see people play mature politics.”,Mr Dhikusooka said.
