ONC Launches Ramadan Food Package Distribution in Wakiso

Wakiso: The Office of the National Chairman of the National Resistance Movement (NRM), under the leadership of Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo, has officially commenced its nationwide distribution of Ramadan food packages to support Muslims during the holy month of fasting.
The initiative aims to ensure that Muslims across the country can observe Ramadan without facing hardships.
On the first day of the distribution, three major mosques in Wakiso District were beneficiaries: Nansana Main Mosque, Kakiri Mosque, and Kasangati Mosque. The event was met with gratitude and enthusiasm by the local Muslim communities.
During her address, Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo urged Muslims to uphold good deeds even after the fasting period, emphasizing that such actions reflect true repentance and spiritual growth.
She also highlighted President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s unwavering support for the Muslim community, describing him as a “father of the nation” who is committed to their well-being.
Namyalo further revealed that President Museveni plans to visit the community soon to promote the gospel of wealth creation.
She encouraged Muslims to warmly welcome the President and actively participate in government programs designed to improve their livelihoods.
The food packages distributed today included essential items such as posho (maize flour), rice, cooking oil, spaghetti, and salt. Beneficiaries expressed their heartfelt appreciation to President Museveni and the ONC for their consistent support, particularly through initiatives spearheaded by Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo.
The food distribution campaign will continue tomorrow in other regions, with further updates to be communicated.
The ONC remains committed to ensuring that all Ugandans, regardless of faith, are supported during this holy month.
