ONC’s Namyalo Endorses Tytan Takuba’s Upcoming Mega Concert, Rallies Bazzukulu For A Night Of Music, Love & Unity

In a passionate and spirited address at the Office of the National Chairman (ONC) headquarters in Kyambogo, ONC manager Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo officially endorsed Tytan Takuba’s mega concert slated for April 18th, 2025 at Mestil Hotel, Kampala. The announcement came during a press conference that highlighted the intersection of music, youth engagement, and national unity under the vision of President Yoweri Museveni.
Speaking to the media, Namyalo emphasized her unwavering commitment to the President’s directive to “bring back the bazzukulu (grandchildren) to Jajja Museveni”, a metaphor for reuniting Uganda’s youth under a banner of patriotism, progress, and cultural pride. She praised Tytan Takuba, calling his work “an instrument of unity” and affirming that supporting such artists is not only a cultural duty but a strategic necessity in the fight against political disillusionment among the youth.
“When Museveni appointed me, one of my roles was to bring back the youth and ensure that we counter these useless political waves. Musicians like Tytan help us in this role because they gather a lot of Museveni’s bazzukulu,” Namyalo said.
She also revealed a deeply personal connection to Takuba’s music, recounting how she had been captivated by his artistry since her school days. “I’ve been a fan of Tytan since way back. His romantic and soulful music touches the heart. It’s beautiful, clean, and uniquely Ugandan. That’s why ONC is proud to support this concert just like we have supported other artists,” she added, rallying all Ugandans to come in full force and stand behind homegrown talent.
In his remarks, Tytan Takuba shared his gratitude for the endorsement and commended Hajjat Namyalo for her exceptional support. He also offered a glimpse into what fans should expect. The Mestil Hotel show will serve as a “maiden concert” ahead of an even larger performance scheduled later this year.
From modest beginnings in Uganda to a thriving independent career in Brussels, Belgium, Tytan Takuba has evolved into a compelling voice on the global music scene. A self-taught singer-songwriter with a signature blend of Ugandan pop and soul, Tytan is known for hits like Nkwata – Mpola, Tokyusanga, Cinderella, and Nkwagala. His newest project, the 12-track album WENYWEEZE (Luganda for “tighten your seat belts”) is already making waves for its depth, honesty, and sonic elegance.
“It’s almost like the album found me,” said Tytan. “Writing and performing these songs myself has been an incredible, personal experience.”
Each track on WENYWEEZE is a journey—romantic, reflective, and unapologetically heartfelt. With rich melodies and poetic lyricism, the album showcases a vulnerable but powerful Tytan, whose music dares to speak truth in a time of noise.
Tytan’s stage presence is equally magnetic. With a grounded, relatable energy, his performances offer more than entertainment—they deliver connection. His upcoming concert promises a night of emotional storytelling, live instrumentation, and electrifying musical communion.
As Uganda stands at the crossroads of generational dialogue and cultural renaissance, this concert is more than an event—it is a movement. A celebration of identity, love, youth power, and the unifying rhythm of music.
April 18th. Mestil Hotel. Be there. Let the music bring us home.
