Police nets 42 suspected criminals in night operation
On March 18, 2025, Kira Road Police conducted an intelligence-led operation between 12:00 AM and 4:40 AM in areas including Kyebando, Mulimira, Kamwokya, and parts of Bukoto.
The operation targeted individuals using drainage channels as hideouts and those pretending to engage in late-night betting while planning to cause chaos in the neighborhood.
Patrick Onyango, the Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesman confirms that A total of 42 suspects were arrested from identified black spots known to harbor criminals.
He added that Exhibits were also recovered during the operation, and with the assistance of local leaders and concerned parties, screening will be conducted, followed by court proceedings for those found culpable.
He also confirms that the operation was deemed successful, and authorities intend to maintain similar efforts to establish order and sanity in the area.
