Police recruitment screening commences in Mbale

The Uganda Police Force has today Monday officially commenced the screening process for recruitment in Mbale City and District.
The exercise is currently underway at Malukhu Playground Malukhu ward, Industrial City Division, in Mbale City.

According to Rogers Taitika, the Elgon Region Police Spokesperson, over 300 candidates have turned up for the screening, exceeding the initial target of 200.
He says the candidates must have A level papers passing well science a s will undergo physical fitness tests, oral interviews, and written assessments before the final selection.
Asumin Nasike, the Mbale Resident City Commissioner, emphasized that the government seeks well-disciplined officers who will serve with integrity.
She assured the candidates that they will receive advance salaries of three months after training.
Nasike also urged them to report any attempts to solicit bribes, stressing that the recruitment process is entirely free.
Jimmy Nambiro, the Assistant Resident City Commissioner, encouraged the candidates to demonstrate patriotism and love for their country. He reminded them that their role as police officers will be to maintain law and order, serving the nation with dedication and integrity.
