Butaleja: Butaleja’s Senior Resident District Commissioner(RDC), David Isabirye Kulaba, has cautioned the teachers to stop illegally, charging fees in the UPE, and USE schools, emphasizing that education in such facilities is free.
Kulaba, made his statement today afternoon in his office. He revealed that he’s received many complaints pinning some teachers who are distablizing the learning as they demand for fees in the UPE, and USE schools across Butaleja district.
The RDC, instead advised parents to boost their children with meals or pack for children food, in a bid to improve their concentration.
According to the RDC, if teachers agree with the parents to feed their learners at school, it’s recommendable, but he asked them not to deny the learners classes, as they demand for the agreed fees.
This is the first time for RDC Kulaba Isabirye to make a statement about education in Butaleja district. The education and health departments have been previously handled by Mr. Jimmy Nambiro, who was transferred to Mbale City, last week.
In another development, Mr. Kulaba, said that he’s received so far 50 applications for the youths interested in joining the Uganda Police Force, ahead of the deadline on March 21, per the advertisement which was released by the government of Uganda. He nonetheless, advised those without credits to repeat O level, or join the vocational training schools.
