Sad News: Police officer killed by mob in Ibanda
IBANDA: An irate mob has attacked and killed police officer No. 75290 PC Chemonges Suleiman, a 28-year-old police officer attached to Bisheshe police station in Ibanda District.
PC Chemonges Suleiman was tragically killed by a mob while guarding the funeral of Kahangire Lazarus, an inmate who died at Nyabuhikye Government Ibanda District.
Police responded to the scene, recovering an SMG rifle and 16 rounds of ammunition. PC Suleiman’s body was taken to the Ruhoko Health Centre mortuary. Investigations are ongoing.
“We want to assure the public that all suspects involved in the criminal act shall be arrested and brought to book.” Police said in A statement
