Supreme Court Ruling; Gen. Muhoozi demands written apology or face the consequences

National: The Chief of Defense Forces of Uganda General Muhoozi Kainerugaba is demanding for a Written apology from the Supreme Court over the recent controversial ruling that sparked debate in the Country.
On Friday, 31 January 2025, the Supreme Court delivered a judgement nullifying with immediate effect, prosecution of all civilians in the General Court Martial and military courts as unconstitutional.
However this decision has caused a lot of criticism from different people including the head of state who called for amendment of the law.
In his wisdom, president Museveni in a lengthy letter indicated that it’s not right for people who commit crime using firearms to be tried in civilian courts.
He Constituted a committee that shall take on the duty to amend the Constitution.
