Butaleja: The district security committee of Butaleja, together with the top NRM main stream leaders have today, afternoon summoned Mr. Richard Were Mudehere, one of the party’s mobilizers to explain more about the “NRM mobilizers Forum”, in which Mudehere, was elected as their chairman for Butaleja district, on Monday.
The meeting was held in the office of the deputy RDC, Betty Kalumba. It included the DISO, deputy DISO, NRM’s Administrative Secretary, and NRM registrar.
Richard Were Mudehere, was tasked to explain why his crusade of mobilisation calls for subscription fees, what work the money does, and who directed him to collect the 10,000= from each of the party members.
Mudehere Richard, pleaded guilty especially when the angry officers threatened to arrest him. They thus directed him to immediately invite his followers for apologies, and strongly tasked the embattled yellow man to refund the money to whoever surrendered to him.
In the meeting, Kuzaima Hasahya, the NRM district registrar, narrated that they received numerous reports of extortion, pinning Mudehere, but they warned him severally in vain.
Hasahya, further stated that Mudehere, had grown wings, to the extent that he one time threatened to discipline the party’s top administrators who disrespected him, alleging that he had the favours in state house.
On Monday, Richard Were Mudehere, was elected as the chairman of Butaleja NRM mobilizers Forum, in Muhofa hall, Butaleja town council, without the attendance of the RDC’s office, and the NRM’s Mainstream leaders.
His excitement caused him to demean the administration of the Party’s main stream leadership in the district, citing increased disunity in the party, and intrigue.
He further directed his followers to pay 10,000=, for subscription, 2000= for the foams, and stated that he targeted a total of 18 NRM mobilizers from each of the two constituencies in Butaleja district.
Mudehere Richard, also chest thumbed that he is known in state house as a good mobilizer for the party, and promised to push it to the next level.
He, was however, belittled by some followers like: Akim Mulepo wa Mulepo(Nawanjofu sub county), and Gabriel Tamba(Kachongha sub county), who reached the extent of castigating Mudehere, for having preached the good news about NRM, clad in a yellow T-shirt, possibly bought in the market, without the party’s Logo.
