USSSA Bugisu Zone Adds Slots for Competitive Championship

The Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) Bugisu Zone committee has confirmed the addition of slots for the upcoming Bugisu Zone Championship, set to begin on April 8 with pre-tournament screening. This decision was made during an executive meeting held at host school Nkoma Secondary School in Mbale City on Thursday, April 3, 2025.

The added slots apply to both boys and girls teams. Mbale City will have six slots for boys and six for girls. Other districts will have the following allocations:
– Bududa District: 3 boys teams, 4 girls teams
– Bulambuli: 3 boys teams, 4 girls teams
– Mbale District: 4 boys teams, 4 girls teams
– Manafwa: 4 boys teams, 4 girls teams
– Sironko: 5 boys teams, 4 girls teams
– Namisindwa: 3 boys teams, 4 girls teams
During the meeting, the championship dates were confirmed: April 10-13, 2025. District secretaries were asked to submit school albums for qualified teams by April 8. The championship will be residential, with Nkoma Secondary School hosting girls’ teams and Mbale Secondary School hosting boys’ teams.
