Why do you wait for me to come from Kampala yet your closer to the people; M7 blasts lazy leaders

President Museveni has blasted local leaders for being lazy and negligent over their subjects.

President Museveni who is on the Regional Wealth Creation Tour in Mbarara Region met leaders today in Bushenyi during his second day of his three say Wealth Creation tour.

He was however concered about leaders who wait for him to come from Kampala to teach the people wealth creation yet they who are closer are just looking on.

President Museveni says the best way to fight Poverty is through teaching the masses on wealth creation.

“I have always reminded leaders that poverty should be combated by teaching the people how to make wealth. Some of you wait for me to come from Kampala, yet you are closer to the people. Opportunities for obugaiga (prosperity) are here—take advantage of them.”

Museveni today commissioned the Ankole Presidential Skilling Hub in Kashari, Mbarara.

He pledged to increase on the intake and introduce more courses in the presidential hub. “We shall increase the intake, build more dormitories, and introduce electrical and motor mechanics to expand this skilling hub. ”

In Sheema district, he visited Honest Abenawe, a model farmer engaged in dairy farming, coffee, banana, and beekeeping.

He appreciated her efforts, and we will support her in improving her dairy breeds and thanked the other farmers who are actively engaging in the money economy.

He also visited Ahimbisibwe Harriet from Ibanda District.
